‘RAKSHA BANDHAN’ CELEBRATED AT BSF CAMP IN INDO-BANGLA BORDER OF ISLAMPUR

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 18th August, 2016: The Raksha Bandhan Utsav was celebrated at Islampur Subdivision near India – Bangladesh bordering BSF Camp at Sonamati Border outpost today. The youths of Nandajhar village tied the Raksha Bandhan knot to the BSF Jawans. They also visited Goalpokhar and Panjipara Police outpost and tied Rakhis to the Police personnel deputed there. After tying the knot there was sweet distribution too.
Some of the BSF jawans deputed in the Sonamati BSF Camp was seen becoming emotional to the occasion. The Jawans gave token money to the youths and chanted slogans “Bharat Mata ki jai”. The In-Charge of Sonamati Border Outpost Mr. D. S. Tripathi said “We are very much happy to see this celebration. We are doing our duties here thousands of Kilometres away from our home. We want to tie the bonding of Rakhi to all of the India to keep our border intact”.
